Feeling overwhelmed or stuck in life? Here’s my story of transformation—from burnout to becoming a certified life coach—and how I now help high-achieving women reclaim their power.
My Starting Point
Every so often, we realize how much we’ve changed. It can be eye-opening to see where we are now compared to where we used to be.
I recently spent time with old friends I used to work with in the pre-COVID days. Certainly, we’re all older—we’ve moved on to new jobs and new adventures. Some have retired, some have started entirely new careers, and others have gotten married or had kids.
The Turning Point
What stood out for me during those visits was how much more relaxed I am now, compared to how I felt when we worked together. I remember feeling stuck—way too busy, yet not engaged. I was going through the motions of my life, but I felt disconnected.
Disconnected from myself, from my skills, and from my personal power. Even with all my privilege—my education, my hard-earned job, my comfortable life—I felt like life was happening to me.
What I really wanted was to feel powerful, like I was in the driver’s seat of my own life. Like I was kickin’ ass and takin’ names.
What I’ve Learned
During COVID, I
- Completed 200+ hours of coach training through COACH U
- Logged 20+ hours of mentor coaching
- Coached 500+ hours with clients
- Earned ACC and PCC credentials from ICF.
I’ve learned so much from my own coaches and benefited profoundly from the changes I made in my life. Now, I’m ready to share those skills.
Why I’m Writing to You
Today, I work with kick-ass women who feel overwhelmed and overly stressed—women who are ready to get back into the driver’s seat of their lives.
My intent in these bi-weekly newsletters is to give you the best of the strategies I’ve learned—through both coaching and being coached. I hope you find them helpful, and I’d love it if you replied to let me know when something resonates, or to share strategies that have worked for you.
Let’s Do This Together
I know what it’s like to feel pulled in so many directions, unable to find that elusive state of flow.
Trying to get unstuck alone can be daunting—but we don’t have to go it alone. Let’s work on it together.
While the strategies may be simple, lasting change is never easy. Courage is most certainly required.
If you’re a high-performing woman who feels stuck or burned out, let’s talk. Coaching could be the catalyst you’ve been looking for.
Stay awesome, Heather
